​THE CITY OF QOHAITO
Lying over 2,500 meters above sea level, Qohaito was a pre-Aksumite city in what is now Eritrea. The city developed as a stop on the trade route between Aksum and Adulis.

The ruined buildings of the city include the pre-Christian Temple of Mariam Wakino and the Sahira Dam.  Rock art near Qohaito indicate habitation in the area since the fifth millennium BC.
EMBA SOIRA
Mount Emba Soira is the highest mountain in Eritrea. Standing at 3018 metres above sea level, it is part of the Eritrean Highlands, one side of the Great Rift Valley which cuts through Eritrea and joins the Red Sea. The mountain is found in the southeast part of Zoba Debub.  ​​

METERA
Metera is a name of a small village as well as a very important Eritrean archaeological site 136 kilometers southeast of Asmara and near Senafe. The archaeological ​site has shown evidence of habitation comprising of at least two different major cities, covering more than 1000 years. Metera was one of the cities along the trade route joining Aksum to the port city, Adulis. ​
